Admission to the library

Please let a machine scan your student ID, or Faculty and staff ID.
If you don't heve your ID, please fill out the visitor form at the counter. But you cannot borrow a book.

Users from outside

People living in Kumamoto Prefecture over 17 years old, or people working in the prefecture who have received a special browsing card, may utilize library facilities.
Before you enter the library, please fill out the visitor form at the counter.
※Please put your baggage/luggage into a locker except the writing tools and valuables. Don't let your valuables out of your sight.

If you want to borrow a book, you need a library card.

＜Registration＞

Identification to show your address is necessary to make a library cards.(ex.A alien registration card)
Please fill out the registration form.
It takes three or more days until the card is issued. Then, please receive the card, and you can borrow books.

Circulation

To borrow books, please bring books to the counter with student ID, Faculty and staff ID, or library card.

Number of materials that can be borrowed

Loan Period

If no one else has requested, can renew for one more loan period.※Renewal period is the due date.

Return

When the library open, please return books to the counter. When the library is closed, please return books to the book drop/book post in the outside of library.
The library card is not necessary when returning books.

If the books are overdue, you cannot borrow books newly.
If the books overdue more than 30 days, your borrowing privileges will be suspended as many days as the book is overdue.

Photocopying

Only library materials can copy in the library.
Photocopying is limited by the copyright law.

• ・Less than half of the total pages of the item may be copied.
• ・Current issue of magazine and newspaper cannot copy.If the next issue released or it passed away 3 months after published, it can copy.

You need a copy card for copying. It is 500 yen per sheet and can buy it at the library.
If you want to copy a few sheets, you can pay in cash.We lend a copy card, so please pay 10 yen per sheet you have copied.
